The stage is set for a fierce showdown among Latin music giants at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards. Leading the nominations is Mexican music sensation Edgar Barrera, with an astounding 13 nominations. Barrera is vying for several of the night’s most prestigious awards, including Songwriter of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Song of the Year. Following closely behind are Camilo, Karol G, Shakira, and Kevyn Mauricio Cruz (known as Keityn), each with seven nominations, representing the Colombian music scene. Argentine producer and DJ Bizarrap secures the third spot with six nominations.

Notably, despite the significant success of the Peso Pluma‘s album Génesis, it is conspicuously absent from all categories. The Latin Grammy organizers clarified that the eligibility period for the 2023 awards spanned from June 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023. Therefore, Génesis, which was released on June 22, 2023, missed the eligibility window.
The grand event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 16, at the Conference and Exhibition Centre in Sevilla, Spain, marking the Latin Grammy’s first international show.
