Måneskin, Demi Lovato, Karol G, and Stray Kids Set to Perform at 2023 MTV Video Music Awards

The upcoming 2023 MTV Video Music Awards have announced the first set of performers for this year’s ceremony. Måneskin, Demi Lovato, Karol G, and Stray Kids are all set to take the stage at the Prudential Center in New Jersey on September 12.

Måneskin, the Italian rock band, is returning to the VMAs stage for the second consecutive year. They are gearing up for the premiere performance of their upcoming single “Honey (Are You Coming?)“. The band is also nominated for the Best Rock award for their single “The Loneliest“, which is featured on their recent album “RUSH!”.

Demi Lovato is making a notable comeback to the VMAs after a six-year hiatus. Her appearance at the event comes just days before the release of her highly anticipated album Revamped. The singer is also a nominee in two categories: Best Pop and Video for good, both for her single “Swine“.

Karol G, a rising star in the music scene, is set to make her debut at the VMAs. She is nominated for three awards, including the coveted Artist of the Year prize.

K-pop sensation Stray Kids is also set to make their VMA debut with a performance of “S-Class“, a track from their latest album 5-Star.

The nominations for this year’s VMAs are led by Taylor Swift, Doja Cat, and SZA, with Swift receiving eight nominations and SZA and Doja Cat each receiving six. A group of artists including Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sam Smith are each up for five nominations. All of these artists are also in the running for the prestigious Video of the Year category.

This year’s VMAs also feature a noteworthy number of first-time nominees, with 35 new acts making their debut in various categories. The list of first-timers includes artists such as Kim Petras, Metro Boomin, Boygenius, Fletcher, Rema, Arya Starr, Burna Boy, Davido, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Kaliii, Peso Pluma, PinkPantheress, and Reneé Rapp.
