The much-anticipated Cruel World Festival 2024 has unveiled its star-studded lineup, featuring headliners Duran Duran, Blondie, and Interpol. Scheduled for May 11, 2024, at Brookside, The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, the festival promises a nostalgic journey with ’80s and ’80s post-punk, new wave, and alternative rock veterans.

The diverse lineup includes iconic acts such as Simple Minds, Placebo, Soft Cell, Adam Ant, Ministry (performing songs from ‘With Sympathy’ and ‘Twitch’), The Jesus and Mary Chain, Gary Numan, Dreamcar, TR/ST, and more. Last year’s headliners were Siouxie Sioux and Iggy Pop.

Registration for early access to passes is currently open, with tickets set to go on sale on December 8 at 12 PM PT. Ticket options range from general admission to limited Clubhouse passes, offering upfront stage viewing, faster access to festival merch, and entry to an exclusive clubhouse.

In the past year, Duran Duran released the Halloween-themed album Danse Macabre, featuring a mix of new originals, reworkings of their classics, and covers of tracks by artists like Billie Eilish and Talking Heads. Blondie, with former Sex Pistol Matlock filling in for bassist Leigh Foxx, played festival shows at Glastonbury and Coachella. Chris Stein has expressed uncertainty about his future performances with Blondie due to ongoing health issues.

The Cruel World Festival promises a memorable experience, bringing together legendary acts and newer talents on one stage, catering to a diverse audience.
