In a significant announcement on December 5, Big Hit Music disclosed the enlistment details for BTS members Jimin, Jungkook, RM, and V. Jimin, the renowned BTS singer, is slated to enlist alongside bandmate Jungkook, who had previously shared his plans in a heartfelt handwritten letter, revealing his imminent entry into the military this month.

Big Hit Music, the agency representing BTS, provided more information about the enlistment process on the fan platform Weverse. The statement clarified that RM and V will follow their respective enlistment procedures. Notably, the agency emphasized that there will be no official event on the day of their entry, as the entrance ceremony is a private affair for military personnel and their families.

Fans were urged to refrain from visiting the enlistment sites to prevent crowding and potential issues. The agency also cautioned against purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages that illegally use the artists’ intellectual property, asserting that necessary action would be taken against any such unauthorized commercial activities.

The enlistment of RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook marks the final phase of the military service for all seven BTS members. The process began in December 2022 with Jin, followed by J-Hope in April 2023 and Suga in September 2023. All members of BTS renewed their contracts with Big Hit Music in September 2023, and the agency announced plans for a full group promotional period for BTS in 2025.
