Antonoff’s introspective musings include lines such as “Some dreams are meant to die” and “Kill your idols in the street outside in daylight,” creating a nuanced narrative. The inclusion of Lana Del Rey’s guest vocals enhances the track’s chill, nighttime drive vibes, with her concluding line, “I’ll make it darker,” adding a haunting touch to the composition.
The song exhibits a dual energy, showcasing a departure from the carefree vibe of the band’s previous single, “Modern Girl.“
Accompanying the single release, Bleachers has announced a self-titled album, featuring an extensive tracklist with bonus tracks such as “I Am In Your Hands,” “Margo,” “Alma Mater (From The Day It Was Written),” and “Drug Free America.”
