BTS's V Drops Soulful Opening Track "Rainy Days" from Upcoming Solo Album "Layover"

V of the globally acclaimed group BTS has unveiled “Rainy Days,” the opening track from his highly anticipated solo album Layover. This soulful song is accompanied by a music video that provides a glimpse into a day in the life of the superstar musician.

In “Rainy Days,” V skillfully blends elements of pop and R&B over a piano-driven melody. The heartfelt lyrics touch on the theme of repairing a fractured relationship, with V expressing a desire to make amends and start anew. “Let me make up for all the time we lost,” he croons, conveying a sense of hopeful reconciliation. The song’s emotional depth is matched by V’s captivating vocal delivery.

The music video, directed by Shin Dongle, offers an intimate look at a seemingly ordinary day in V‘s life. The video portrays V’s morning routine, from leisurely moments in bed to sharing meals with his dog and watching cartoons in the background. This relatable portrayal contrasts with his superstar status, making the visual narrative both endearing and relatable.

Spanning six tracks, Layover is set to release on September 8th. Prior to “Rainy Days,” V introduced “Love Me Again” as the lead single from the album, further building anticipation among fans.

This solo endeavor follows the releases of projects from V’s fellow BTS bandmates, including Jungkook, j-hope, RM, Jimin, SUGA, and Jin. The group temporarily halted its activities to allow each member to fulfill their mandatory military service in South Korea. This week, SUGA joined Jin and j-hope in active duty, marking a significant step for the band members in their personal and professional journeys.

As BTS continues to captivate global audiences, V’s “Rainy Days” offers a glimpse into the multifaceted talent and artistry of one of the group’s standout performers, further solidifying his impact in the music industry.
