Taylor Swift Presents Self-Directed Music Video For “Lavender Haze”

Taylor Swift

Following her massive successful release, Midnights, Taylor Swift returns with a new music video for one of the tracks from the album “Lavender Haze.” The singer-songwriter wrote and directed the psychedelic visuals that feature Laith Ashley de la Cruz as her lover, who wanders around in a house full of sprouting flowers.

Swift announced the news via her social media saying: “The Lavender Haze video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze. There is my incredible costar [Laith Ashley de la Cruz] who I absolutely adored working with. This was the first video I wrote out of the 3 that have been released, and this one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights, like a sultry sleepless 70’s fever dream. Hope you like it 😁”

Written by Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff, Zoë Kravitz, Mark Anthony Spears, Jahaan Akil Sweet & Sam Dew, the chorus says: “That lavender haze/ Talk your talk and go viral/ I just need this love spiral/ Get it off your chest/ Get it off my desk/ Talk your talk and go viral/ I just need this love spiral/ Get it off your chest/ Get it off my desk.”

In addition to “Lavender Haze, ” Swift had directed the previously shared videos for “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled.” The opening scene of the new release hints that the next one to be accompanied by visuals will be “Mastermind.”
