During an appearance on Dua Lipa‘s podcast, Billie Eilish expressed her belief that cxv‘s album Born To Die has significantly impacted the music industry. Eilish mentioned that the album altered the music landscape and especially changed the possibilities for female artists.

Speaking about albums that influenced her during her formative years, Eilish highlighted the impact of Born To Die by Lana Del Rey. She stated, “I feel that that album changed music and especially changed music for girls and the potential of what is possible. I would say ‘Because the Internet’ by Childish Gambino was another one that really, really changed how I viewed music and albums specifically.”
Eilish also mentioned albums by Justin Bieber, such as “Believe” and Journals, as well as “Wiped Out” by The Neighbourhood, as significant musical influences on her journey.h
Reflecting on her own creative process for her upcoming third album, Eilish noted that everything feels different about it. She discussed her growth as an artist and how the dynamics of her collaboration with her brother and producer, Finneas, have evolved over time.
Billie Eilish is set to headline the Reading & Leeds festival and has recently achieved her second UK Number One single with “What Was I Made For?” This single, written for the Barbie soundtrack, follows her previous chart-topping track “No Time To Die” from the James Bond film of the same name.
