Dogstar, the iconic alt-rock band from the 90s, is back with a bang, announcing an exciting tour, their first album in 23 years, and sharing the lead single, “Everything Turns Around.”
Comprising guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose, drummer Rob Mailhouse, and bassist Keanu Reeves, the band is re-introducing themselves to the music scene with the release of their latest track, “Everything Turns Around,” and their forthcoming LP, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees.
The band expresses their excitement about the new single, calling it a fun summer song with an uplifting message and positive vibes that will brighten listeners’ days. The track holds special significance for the band as it has been a favorite during their live performances.
Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees will mark Dogstar‘s third album and is set to be released on October 6 via their label, Dillon Street Records. Fans can pre-order the album here to ensure they get their hands on it as soon as it drops.
Formed in the early 90s, Dogstar released their debut album, “Our Little Visionary,” in 1996, followed by “Happy Ending” in 2000. Despite their initial success, the band went on hiatus and eventually disbanded a couple of years later.
To celebrate their highly-anticipated new album, Dogstar will hit the road next month, commencing their tour on August 10 in Hermosa Beach, California. The band will be making their way along the west coast before heading to Japan for a few shows in September. Their North American tour is scheduled to begin on November 30, with dates lined up through December 20 in Nashville.

The band made a triumphant comeback at the BottleRock festival back in May, performing together for the first time in two decades. The event marked the debut of new music alongside tracks from “Our Little Visionary” and “Happy Ending.” Keanu Reeves shared his love for the band and expressed his admiration for Alvvays, an indie group he considers one of his current favorites. Reeves praised the lead singer, Molly Rankin, and their inventive pop songs, showcasing his passion for good music and energetic performances.
