NJZ made headlines at their headlining performance at ComplexCon Hong Kong on March 23, 2025. The group debuted their new song, “Pit Stop,” and announced their hiatus indefinitely.
The show drew over 11,000 spectators. NJZ’s set began with solo portions, where each member delivered covers of popular R&B hits rather than their usual high-energy performances.
Danielle performed TLC’s “No Scrubs,” Minji performed UPSAHL’s “Smile For The Camera,” Haerin performed “Dontcha,” Hyein performed SWV’s “Use Your Heart,” and Hanni performed Ghost Town DJ’s “My Boo.” The performances came as a shock but showcased the group’s versatility and musicianship.

The highlight of the night was the debut of “Pit Stop,” a song that falls under the theme of the event and the Chinese Grand Prix. The song’s release was bittersweet, with the group following it with the announcement of their hiatus. Group members
Danielle and Hanni read an emotional message in English, explaining that the decision was done “out of respect” for a recent court ruling. The Seoul Central District Court had granted ADOR’s injunction, preventing NJZ from conducting independent activities using their new name without the agency’s approval.
ComplexCon Hong Kong, a global festival of streetwear and pop culture, was a fitting stage for NJZ’s unveiling. The second edition of the event attracted over 30,000 visitors from around the world and featured performances by artists from South Korea, Japan, China, and the United States. NJZ also featured a merchandise booth, which within hours sold out, an indicator of their huge popularity.
