Avant-garde pop artist FKA Twigs makes a surprise musical return by teaming up with electronic duo Two Shell on a new version of their single “Talk To Me.”
This club-ready iteration marks Twigs’ first official music release since 2022 and arguably Two Shell’s most energetic take on the track yet. Following previous releases of a karaoke version and several edits featuring guest vocalists, the new version featuring Twigs (real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett) explodes with euphoric synths and her signature dizzying yet emotive vocals.
“With ‘Talk To Me,’ Two Shell and FKA Twigs have created a formula for hard-hitting electronic pop that cuts through the digital noise to reveal an irresistibly emotional heart at its core,” reads a press release. “Expertly synthesised euphoria at its finest, ‘Talk To Me’ sets the stage for a modern club anthem – one that is sure to create moments of joy both IRL and URL for years to come.”
The collaboration comes ahead of Two Shell’s highly anticipated performance at Coachella Music Festival this April. Meanwhile, FKA Twigs has recently been focused on acting, with an upcoming starring role alongside Bill Skarsgård in the reboot of The Crow.
This musical return follows FKA Twigs’ recent comments about the physical toll of her past relationship with actor Shia LaBeouf, whom she accuses of abuse. She detailed the lasting effects on her nervous system and the importance of self-compassion in her healing journey.
