French electro pioneers Justice are set to make a triumphant return with the announcement of their forthcoming album, Hyperdrama, marking their first full-length release in an impressive seven years.

The revelation of the album’s title came through a visually enticing video teaser shared on Justice’s official Instagram account on January 18. The teaser featured a snippet of their new track, “One Night/All Night,” which notably features Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker, delivering soulful vocals with the lines: “I could be your woman / cause if that’s the only answer / then we could be together / cause I want to feel the pleasure.”

This revelation follows the duo’s New Year’s Day message to fans, where they shared a preview of new music, building anticipation for their return to the forefront of the electronic music scene.

While details about Hyperdrama remain under wraps, with no tracklist, album artwork, or release date disclosed at the time of writing, the album is expected to be a landmark addition to Justice’s discography.

The last time Justice graced listeners with a full-length album was in 2016, with Woman. This third studio album featured hit singles like “Pleasure,” “Love S.O.S,” “Fire,” and “Chorus,” solidifying the duo’s status as influential figures in the electro genre.

The announcement of Hyperdrama aligns with previous confirmations from Pedro Winter, the head of Ed Banger Records, who hinted at Justice’s return to the studio. Winter, also known as Busy P, has a storied history with the duo, having collaborated with them on all three of their albums. Their debut LP, † (Cross), released in 2007 under the Ed Banger label, marked the beginning of a successful partnership.

As the anticipation builds for Hyperdrama, Justice’s return promises not only a sonic journey but also the prospect of a new tour, as hinted by Pedro Winter in a statement last summer. The electronic music landscape eagerly awaits the unveiling of Justice’s latest chapter, poised to leave an indelible mark on the soundwaves of 2024.
