As the year draws to a close, Mariah Carey, often dubbed the “Queen of Christmas,” has once again claimed her festive throne. Following the conclusion of her Merry Christmas One And All! Tour at Madison Square Garden, Carey’s iconic holiday anthem, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” has triumphantly returned to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

To add to her seasonal accolades, Carey paid a visit to The White House last week, ensuring that the nation’s capital was adorned with the appropriate holiday cheer. In an Instagram carousel, she shared moments from her visit, including snapshots in The Oval Office alongside US President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and her 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

Carey not only inspected The White House’s Christmas decorations but also took part in spreading joy during the holiday season. The Library of Congress honored her by inducting “All I Want For Christmas Is You” into the 2023 National Recording Registry. The official X account of the Library of Congress tweeted about Carey’s visit and the induction, presenting her with a certificate commemorating the prestigious recognition.

In a festive statement, the Library of Congress said, “.@MariahCarey stopped by the Library last week for a tour & to receive a certificate from Santa that commemorates the induction of ‘All I Want For Christmas is You’ in the 2023 #NatRecRegistry. Congratulations & Merry Christmas, Mariah!”

With her chart-topping return and induction into the National Recording Registry, Mariah Carey continues to solidify her status as a holiday music icon.
