Boygenius, the acclaimed supergroup comprising Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker, had a remarkable year with their debut album, The Record, earning seven Grammy nominations. Despite their success, the trio doesn’t feel pressured to release a quick follow-up.

In a recent interview with NME, Julien Baker explained that the creative process behind The Record was natural, and they don’t want to rush into a sequel. She expressed a preference for keeping Boygenius as something sacred, not bound to daily pressures or expectations. Baker added, “It’s something we can revisit when we feel motivated to, or it’s a place we can retreat to. I like saving it as something sacred instead of feeling like I have to constantly grind on it.”

Fans can anticipate future surprises from Boygenius, who are focused on maintaining the essence and authenticity of their music.
