While Doja Cat explores the underworld for musical inspiration, the iconic duo Sleater-Kinney isn’t far behind. They’ve unveiled the lead single from their forthcoming album, Little Rope, and it delves into a rather eerie subject matter. The duo made this revelation alongside a haunting new music video for the single titled “Hell.”
Directed by Ashley Connor and featuring Miranda July, the gritty rock track delves into religious themes as the lyrics muse, “Hell is just a signpost when you take a certain path.” With its dark and atmospheric visuals, the video adds depth to the song’s narrative.
Sleater-Kinney, known for their celebrated music career, released the 25th-anniversary edition of their Dig Me Out album last year. This exploration of their musical journey could have influenced the eerie tone of their latest track, “Hell.”
