As “Everything Works Out” climbs the charts, were you anticipating such an overwhelmingly favorable reaction from the public? In what ways has this single opened up new avenues and opportunities for your career?
I had high hopes of course, but definitely wasn’t expecting such reactions. I am grateful beyond words! This experience has opened all kinds of opportunities! So many bloggers and DJs were able to discover my art and my message and I couldn’t be happier about it all!
How do you feel your personal journey influenced the creation of your latest release, and how does it reflect your current artistic vision?
“Everything works out” is a mantra that I have personally utilized for years and as I was repeating it one night, it literally started to sound like a song in my head so the release just manifested.
My current artistic vision includes making songs about any and all topics that have struck me in some way or I feel that people may want to know about or be inspired by, so this was a perfect fit for one of my first releases.
Could you describe a specific moment or experience that profoundly impacted you during the making of this song and how it shaped the overall tone or theme?
Yes, the most profound moment of making this song was literally when the idea struck me. I was finishing a run on the night of a full moon and after I finished, the concept and chorus just flowed through my head like a radio channel I was tuned in to!
Can you tell us about any musical explorations you ventured into on this single that pushed the boundaries of your creativity?
Absolutely! The fact that I mix my music with a sort of “spoken word “ offers an uncharted exploratory realm. We knew this unconventional twist to the flow of the song was going to catch listeners off guard at first, but were hopeful it would be allowed to sort of exist within its own space, making way for the message to echo a bit deeper within the soul of the listener, just like it did!
Each artist has a signature style or approach to their craft. How would you describe the distinct musical identity you’ve developed throughout your career, and how does it manifest in this new song?
I guess my style is distinct in that I bring a certain element of philosophy, metaphysics, and inspiration to my music in addition to a dope groove. It is my goal to make music with a message!
The music industry has gone through significant changes in recent years. How have you adapted your creative process and career strategy to navigate this evolving landscape and connect with your fans in new and meaningful ways?
Great question! My plan is to make music that not only makes the fans feel and move, but music that also brings something new to the table, like a leading edge metaphysical idea or life altering scientific concept that will keep their interest peaked and their soul craving more!
In today’s fast-paced world, listeners often consume music in bite-sized formats. How do you intend to engage your audience, ensuring they have a deeper, more immersive experience beyond individual tracks or singles?
I think creating an amazingly immersive album that tells a story from start to finish would be an ideal solution. Putting together tracks that build on each other all the way through the record, I believe, would keep all of us engaged just like scenes within a movie do. Hopefully, I’ll be able to create just that!
