Maisie Peters Drops Emotional Single ‘Two Weeks Ago’ From Upcoming Album ‘The Good Witch’

British songstress Maisie Peters has gifted her fans with another tantalizing taste of her much-awaited sophomore album, “The Good Witch”. Her latest single, “Two Weeks Ago”, was released on May 26, 2023, marking the third track unveiled from her upcoming project.

Penned by Brad Ellis, Jez Ashurst, and Maisie Peters, and skillfully produced by Ellis and Ashurst, the single is a poignant tale of heartbreak and regret. Peters describes “Two Weeks Ago” as a bittersweet tune, penned in the aftermath of an emotional split, focusing on her yearning for a time when the heartache was not yet present.

Reflecting on the creation of the song, Peters shared, “The song came to be during a final writing session before a dinner outing with friends. Despite initial difficulties finding the right tune, it all fell into place when we turned an unsuccessful verse into the song’s chorus. I’d been playing around with the idea ‘I wish it was two weeks ago’, and it was in that studio, in that moment, that all the pieces came together. I knew it was special and I’m glad it found its home.”

“The Good Witch”, Peters’ forthcoming 15-track album, is slated for release on June 23, 2023. The project is a collaborative effort, featuring the production prowess of a variety of producers including Oscar Görres, Two Inch Punch, Matias Tellez, Brad Ellis, Joe Rubel, and Elvira Anderfjärd. This new offering from Peters promises an array of emotional, evocative songs, with “Two Weeks Ago” setting the tone for what’s to come.
