Acclaimed American singer-songwriter Phillip Phillips delighted fans with a brand new single “So Will I”, which was unveiled on May 12, 2023. The track is set to feature in his much-anticipated fourth studio album, “Drift Back”, scheduled for release on June 9, 2023.
Phillip Phillips, along with Sarah Haze and Todd Clark, is credited with the writing of “So Will I”. In addition, Todd Clark assumed the role of the producer for this track, ensuring a harmonious blend of Phillips’ lyrical depth and melodic acuity.
Regarding the track, Phillip Phillips shared, “’So Will I’ is a song about being vulnerable to the one you love and to never stop sharing with each other no matter how long you’ve been together. We go through seasons and we grow but we have to grow together. For me, this song is about being open to that person and speaking out on what’s on your mind and communicating.”
Phillips’ upcoming album marks his return to the music scene after a hiatus of five years. His last body of work, “Collateral”, was released back in 2019. The long wait has undoubtedly amplified the excitement and expectations among fans for his forthcoming album “Drift Back”.
