On Tuesday, BTS’s Jimin revealed details about his impending debut solo album, FACE. The announcement of the collection, which is set to be released on March 24, was accompanied by a 35-second video that had ambient music and a sequence of water drops spinning out ripples on the surface of the water, which finally formed the album’s title.
The single effort is detailed as follows in a Weverse article with extra details: “Jimin facing himself head-on as he gets ready for his next step as a solo artist.”
The collection’s pre-order period begins on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST (Feb. 22). At the time of publication, no tracklisting or first single has been released. Jimin’s first full-length solo album comes on the heels of his breakthrough track “Vibe,” co-written with fellow K-pop artist TAEYANG of BIG BANG, which recently charted on the Billboard Hot 100. To far, Jimin has released the solo songs “Lie” and “Serendipity,” as well as the soundtrack song “With You” from the TvN drama Our Blues.
The news was the latest from the K-pop superstars, who are now on sabbatical as each member pursues their respective individual projects. So far, J-Hope has released the album/documentary Jack in the Box, Suga has announced dates for his first solo tour, RM has released Indigo, Jin has collaborated with Coldplay on the single “The Astronaut,” Jung Kook has collaborated with Charlie Puth on the song “Left and Right,” and V has starred in the reality show In the Soop: Friendcation.
