The romance between Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly could still be going strong after all. According to recent reports, the couple’s breakup was caused by some of Fox’s social media behavior. However, PEOPLE reports that they haven’t officially broken off their engagement.

On Instagram, just three profiles, none of which belonged to Kelly, were followed by Fox, as was discovered over the weekend by fans. Later, amid the breakup rumors, she appeared to have deactivated her Instagram account. Fox published a post on Instagram just before deleting it, which truly made followers worry whether she and Kelly broke up.

She uploaded many pictures of herself and a video showing an envelope burning in a campfire. She captioned the post with lyrics from Beyonce’s song, “Pray You Catch Me,” writing, “You can taste the dishonesty/ It’s all over your breath.”

Although they haven’t broken up formally, a source told PEOPLE that they did have “a fight over the weekend” despite not having done so. Fox allegedly “won’t speak to” Kelly and is “very upset.” Added were, “They haven’t officially called off the engagement but Megan took her ring off. They have had issues in the past, but things seem pretty serious this time.” PEOPLE said that they contacted representatives for both Fox and Kelly but received no response.

Almost precisely one year after the pair announced their engagement, there are all these split rumors. Fox said that they were engaged at a very important place for the couple in January 2022. She wrote,

“In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.” The Jennifer’s Body actress went on to say that Kelly proposed after they “walked through hell together.”

“And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes,” she wrote. The unconventional manner they celebrated their engagement was how Fox concluded her article, “…and then we drank each other’s blood.” On the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in 2020, Kelly and Fox first got to know one another. Following Fox’s divorce from her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green, they started dating.
