It’s safe to say that surviving The Bear’s cooking atmosphere under pressure is sufficient preparation for the demands of the MCU. At the very least, Ayo Edebiri, who is joining the Thunderbolts cast, will be hoping for that.
The film’s script was written by Eric Pearson of Black Widow, and Jake Schreier is directing it. The unusual squad that Thunderbolts will form to carry out government operations will include characters like Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster, Hannah John-Ghost, Kamen’s Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, David Harbour’s Red Guardian, and Wyatt Russell’s US Agent.
Added to the mix? Harrison Ford replaces the late William Hurt in the character of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays the returning Val. You’ll no sure be surprised to find that Edebiri’s function is currently unknown.
Thunderbolts will open in theaters on July 26 of next year, as was announced during the D23 event last year.
