Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer Sofie and Afro-pop superstar Sister Deborah have joined efforts on the stunning cross genre banger titled “We Dey.” 

 Sofie was raised between Ghana and the UK. She has a soulful, R&B driven sound that crosses borders blending West African instruments and rhythms. It is important to Sofie to use her platform to raise awareness about things that matter in the world and inspire positive change during her career. Throughout her career Sofie has released 2 EP’s and multiple single’s. Sofie’s most current release is titled ‘If You Don’t Stop’; it came out in July 2021. 

Her career highlights include playing the main stage at the Chalewote festival in Accra, performing at The African Diaspora Homecoming Gala night celebrating Ghana’s 60th independence anniversary, performing at the ‘Women of Colour celebration with a hip hop ensemble in Boston – rapping with the American Hip Hop Recording Artist Yo-Yo, being an opening act for the “Afrobeats” to the World” Concert at the PlayStation theater in Times Square, NYC and playing multiple headline shows in Boston and Accra. Sofie graduated from the Berklee College of Music in May 2021.

With over 3M followers on Instagram alone, Sister Deborah is an Afro-pop superstar, mostly known for her hit single “Uncle Obama,” a music video watched by millions that got her interviewed on CNN right before Obama debated his opponent for his second term in 2012. 

With the new banger “We Dey” both extraordinary artists are wrapping-up their year in full style and grace, leaving fans wanting more, hoping for a new collab in the future!
