Rihanna Drops “Born Again” Inspired By Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Soundtrack

Following the release of the acclaimed song “Lift Me Up,” Rihanna drops a second single from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Soundtrack called “Born Again.” The new track is written by The-Dream, who had also contributed to her superhits “Umbrella” and “Birthday Cake.”

“Born Again” is a beautifully curated song that stands out with its arrangements and lyrics “I give my soul or whatever it takes, never run away/ I’ve got enough angels to storm the gates/ I’m not afraid, behold the brave/ I’ll have it no other away/ I miss the emergence and these moments of you/The mere reflection of me/ That mirror can’t change it’s view/ So until those rivers run out/ They are stormy wherever you are/ I’ll be there, we carry on (We carry on)/ Born again (Ooh).”

All these new releases don’t mean there’s a ninth album coming soon though. Rihanna, who will headline the NFL Halftime Show, recently said that “Super Bowl is one thing, new music is another thing,” meaning she won’t be dropping a new LP any time soon. “But I do have new music coming out. But we’ll see, we’ll see. Unrelated, but a special project,” continued the Barbados singer.

Additionally, Rihanna made a lot of buzz with her Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4. The epic spectacle featured performances from Anitta, Burna Boy, Don Toliver, and Maxwell, as well as appearances from Johnny Depp, Taraji P. Henson, Taylour Paige, Simu Liu, Bella Poarch, Winston Duke, and others.
