Zambian-British songwriter, poet, and visual artist Tendayi Sutherland has released a new outstanding single titled “Gold.” Positive shock is the source of “Gold.” After previous experiences with domestic abuse and love that were ambiguous, stinging, and perplexing, the bright lights of new love. It is a celebration of the ability of good love to heal. How we grow when warm relationships are our light source.
Speaking about “Gold,” Tendayi Sutherland mentioned: “Domestic violence can ricochet from your past into your future and colour the fabric of new love. But I have found hope and I hope to fly this personal flag, from my mountain of recovery, to signal that hope is within reach.”
Tendayi Sutherland writes about healthy love, mental health, trauma, healing, struggle, and faith. She has a talent for writing lyrics, and she adores using words to create avant-garde music and smooth choruses. She creates and mixes my own music.
She has performed at events like Bestival, Lounge on the Farm, and Jules Holland with Pete Molinari’s band. On February 10, 2023, she will release a few more singles before releasing my “Your Love is Civilisation” album.
