Green Day Celebrate Nimrod’s 25th Anniversary By Releasing “You Irritate Me” Demo

American rockers Green Day surprised fans with the announcement that they are re-releasing their fifth studio album Nimrod. The original LP that came out in 1997 included the opening track “Nice Guys Finish Last,” “Redundant,” “Scattered,” “Hitchin’ a Ride,” “King for a Day,” and many others.

Green Day was formed by Billie Joe Armstrong (Lead Vocalist) and Mike Dimt (Bassist/Back vocalist. The band shared the news via its social media platforms to mark the 25th anniversary of Nimrod, “BIG anniversary today!! Nimrod is 25 years old  🤯🤯 Already?? Where has the time gone?! We’re re-releasing the album at the top of new year on January 27th with 14 previously unreleased demos *and* Live at The Electric Factory (which include 15 more unreleased tracks).”

The reissue will come out on January 27, 2022, comprising 15 unreleased tracks and 14 demos, including “You Irritate Me” and “Tre Polka.” The band has also dropped a new limited edition merch for the album’s 25th anniversary.
