Eminem’s 8 Mile is back on Netflix! The streaming service has made the box office hit available for everyone to see.
The critically acclaimed movie was released in 2002 and opened at No. 1 in the US Box Office, making more than 242 million dollars worldwide. 8 Mile has a multi-talented cast starring alongside Eminem, among which are Brittany Murphy, Taryn Manning, Evan Jones, Anthony Mackie, Omar Benson, and Michael Shannon.
Produced by Imagine Entertainment and Mikona Productions GmbH & Co, and directed by Curtis Hanson, the film that is loosely based on Eminem’s life, follows the story of a struggling rapper that seizes that once in a lifetime opportunity to turn his life around. It gives the public a sneak peek into hip-hop culture and the talent that can come out of the streets.
Eminem along with Jeff Bass and Luis Resto won an Oscar for Best Original Song for the epic hit “Lose Yourself.” The song has shaped generations and will continue to do so.
