LCD Soundsystem has announced two additional cities for its residency series, with the band performing numerous shows in Oakland and San Francisco in August.
James Murphy and company will begin their Bay Area tour on August 16 at Oakland’s Fox Theater, where they will perform three additional gigs on consecutive evenings.
LCD Soundsystem played 17 of a scheduled 20-show engagement at Brooklyn Steel in New York late last year, but the run was cut short owing to an increase of COVID-19 cases. This year, they enjoyed smaller residencies at Philadelphia’s Franklin Music Hall and Boston’s Roadrunner, and they’ll be in the UK later this month for six gigs at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
