Let’s give a round of applause to the talented Noah Thompson for his epic win.

This past Sunday, the top three candidates took the stage for the final time on the season 20 finale of “American Idol,” with the hopes of winning the grand prize. After incredible performances, Thompson was officially declared the winner over HunterGirl and Leah Marlene when America’s findings were finally released.

For the finale, the 20-year-old victor sang three songs: “I’m on Fire” for the Bruce Springsteen round, “One Day Tonight,” his own song, and Rihanna’s “Stay,” his favorite song of the season.

“Oh my God… my heart is racing out of my chest, this is ridiculous,” Thompson said live on stage after learning of his triumph.
