Kendrick Lamar Drops First New Track in Four Years “The Heart Part 5”

Kendrick Lamar has released the first track from his upcoming fifth studio album, Mr. Morale And The Big Steppers, titled “The Heart Part 5.”

“The Heart Part 5” is the first single off Kendrick Lamar’s upcoming fifth studio album, Mr. Morale And The Big Steppers.

The song marks Lamar’s first solo release since 2018’s “All The Stars,” which featured SZA and served as the lead single off Lamar’s Black Panther soundtrack. “The Heart Part 5” is the latest in a series of songs published by Lamar during the course of his career; parts one and two were released in 2010, part three in 2012, and part four in 2017.

A music video for the tune has been released, which was co-directed by Dave Free and Lamar himself. Lamar raps the song in front of a crimson backdrop before his face is altered to resemble Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Will Smith using deep fake technology. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, are given “special thanks” in the video’s credits.
