Exclusive Interview With Talented Artist Chris Thompson

Experimental Hip-Hop artist Chris Thompson sits down with us to talk about his latest album Blessed. Through smooth rhythms and insightful lyricism, the new album delivers a distinct viewpoint on his artistic creativity.

Tell us more about the meaning behind this new project and what it represents for you. What inspired you to record this album and why did you choose this title?

The meaning behind Blessed is simply just a manner of rich, positive vibes and getting it. It represents getting it for me and giving that to people means a lot. I was inspired by how life treats me and the fruits of my work. The title was chosen by the meaning of the songs.

What is your favorite song from the album and why?

I can’t pick a favorite just because as a general life rule I don’t pick favorites so I don’t count anyone out but I’m guessing “Party All Night” will be the most listened to the song.

Were there any obstacles encountered while recording this album? If so, how did you overcome them?

There were no obstacles in recording the album. It was fun and I made the most of it.

What event or experience in your life made you want to commit to making music?

The experience in my life to make music was how cool I became. I was so cool and that inspired me to jump into the music business.

Where do you get your inspiration on days when you’re not particularly motivated?

There are no days where I’m not particularly motivated, or they haven’t happened yet. I’m always in the mood to get to the mic and rap, so I feel like music is my thing.

If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

If I could perform anywhere, I would perform in Los Angeles. Los Angeles means a lot because California is one of my favorite places in the world, and I love the atmosphere and culture.

What’s next for Chris Thompson?

Next for me is a mixtape coming soon, and a life in the music business. I am happy with how well the album went and I hope to make something out of that!
