Wearing 4 Moncler Hyke, the dancer collaborates with director Alex Black to capture the collective experience of post-pandemic revival
The film opens with a slow motion nose dive into the concrete heart of New York: a visceral point of entry that reflects the feelings of the past year, with much of the city looking inward during a period of collective reflection. Reviving the spirit of the city that never sleeps, contemporary dance artist Martha Nichols and director Alex Black explore the physical, emotional and spiritual planes of dance. Dressed in the monochrome, minimal uniform of 4 Moncler Hyke—the latest collaboration between Moncler and the Japanese design duo HYKE—Nichols dances in sweeping movements above the bustling cityscape, her body rising and falling like a breath. The simplicity and functionality seen in HYKE’s Moncler collection fuses perfectly with the palette of the city and the new energy of a world reawakening.
