Versace’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection puts the iconic ‘foulard’ back in the spotlight

The latest collection pays homage to the brand’s heritage with looks nostalgic of the late Gianna Versace

The new Versace Spring/Summer 2022 collection saw the scarf in the spotlight, or in Versace’s case this season, the ‘foulard’. An icon of Versace heritage and character, we see the versatility of the scarf used anywhere from tightly wound headwear, peering through slashed skirts, wrapped around handbags, or to complete, billowing shirt and pant ensembles.

Dua Lipa, the face of their Fall/Winter 2021 line, opened and closed the show in looks nostalgic of the late Gianni Versace, adorned with the brand’s iconic safety pins, where pieces were cut out and pieced back together again in true function meets fashion statement embellishment.

Amongst the woven canvas of silk scarves, painted with iconic prints, we also saw varsity jackets, skintight latex, and cool tailoring, modernized with an update of vibrant fluorescent colors.
