The British Government Warns of Panic Buying This Winter

Government sources have called British citizens to avoid panic buying as many have hoped to empty supermarket shelves.

In an exclusive interview with Times Radio, Minister Paul Scully mentioned how there is no need for people to leave supermarkets empty. The minister further added that the government has enough resources for winter, and there are no shortages or whatsoever for the time being.

In addition to that, Britain’s leading supermarket group, Tesco (TSCO.L), has highlighted the importance of government interference in limiting hoarding and panic buying to avoid shortages during Christmas.

Although the government has just released a statement saying that the UK has a “highly resilient food supply chain,” many supermarket shelves were emptied from carbonated drinks, water, and Turkey.
