Billie Eilish’s Met Gala Dress Helps Destroy the Fur Industry

The 2021 Met Gala, which took place yesterday, Monday September 13th saw A-list celebs from different fields, show off their most lavish pieces of fashion at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Any person who had the chance of watching a glimpse of the event or saw any sort of media coverage can confirm that Grammy award winning artist Billie Eilish rocked one of the carpet’s most memorable and elegant looks.

The nineteen year old singer-songwriter showed up, as you can see from the image below, in a peach-colored Oscar de la Renta gown and with makeup by artist Rob Rumsey, giving fans a modern-day Marilyn Monroe inspired style, especially with the blonde retro curl hairstyle.

But did you know that Billie made the world a better place by choosing this dress? Yes, that’s right. According to the New York Times, she had only one condition to work with de la Renta, and that was that the Dominican American designer would stop using fur and fortunately the fashion mogul had no problem agreeing to the deal.
