Taylor Swift is set to release her highly anticipated re-recording of the album 1989 under the title 1989 (Taylor’s Version) very soon. The release date for this re-recorded album is October 27, just ten days away from the time of writing.
In her original announcement, Swift expressed her excitement, saying, “Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you [soon]! The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out on October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”

A unique aspect of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is that it is the first re-recorded album by Swift to not include any collaborations. Instead, it features five new vault tracks, including “Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go,” “Suburban Legends,” and “Slut!“
For Swift’s re-recorded albums, only two remain: her self-titled debut album and Reputation. Many fans have speculated that Reputation will be the next in line for release based on easter eggs and hints dropped by the artist.
1989 (Taylor’s Version) is scheduled for release on October 27, 2023, through Republic Records. You can find more information here.
