The music of Lil Keed lives on with the announcement of his upcoming posthumous album, Keed Talk to ‘Em 2, set to release on March 17. The album, which is a sequel to his 2018 mixtape, features 20 tracks and is executive produced by his daughter Naychur Render. It also boasts an impressive list of collaborations with artists such as Big Sean, Trippie Redd, NAV, KayCyy, and Fridayy.
Keed’s YSL family, including Young Thug, Dolly White, and Karlae, also make appearances on the album, as well as his blood brothers Lil Gotit and StickBaby. The album’s first single, “Long Way to Go,” has already been released, and fans can expect more from the album soon.
Along with the album announcement, a video for “Self Employed” was also released, showing footage of Keed’s final moments surrounded by loved ones. Tonnie Woods-Reed, Keed’s mother, announced the album’s release earlier this year, revealing that her son was working hard on the project before his death.
Lil Keed, who passed away in May 2022 at the age of 24, left behind a lasting impact on the music industry. His mother hopes that this album will be the first step in cementing his legacy. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner determined that his death was due to natural causes resulting from eosinophilia.
Fans of Lil Keed can look forward to the release of Keed Talk to ‘Em 2, which promises to be a fitting tribute to the late rapper and his musical talent.
