English singer-songwriter, Jessie Ware, confirms that she has an album coming out on April 28, 2023. The record is called That! Feels Good! and we already have a preview of what it will sound like. The “Selfish Love” singer shared “Pearls,” the first single off the anticipated LP, which is the follow-up to 2020’s What’s Your Pleasure?
I know you wanna go to the moon/ But if you don’t go, you’ll never get there oh/ I know you wanna go to the moon/ Take a hold of me and shake it/ til the pearls fall off/ let me go! Let me dance!/ And shake it/ til the pearls get/ Lost, in romance, let’s just dance,” sings Ware in her sultry and signature voice.
Created with songwriters and producers Stuart Price, Sarah Hudson, and Coffee, the new track “doesn’t take itself too seriously but demands you to have a dance,” explains Ware, revealing that “Pearls” is inspired by divas like Donna Summer, Evelyn Champagne King, Teena Marie, and Chaka Khan.
That! Feels Good! will come out via PMR/Interscope. Ware admits that it “stems from over 10 years of understanding who I am, and who I enjoy being as an artist and the thrill of performance.”
Jessie Ware had last released an extended edition of What’s Your Pleasure? in 2022, introducing the song “Free Yourself.” She also collaborated with Kylie Minogue on “Kiss of Life,” which appeared on Minogue’s Disco: Guest List Edition.
