The most well-liked movie of 2022 has officially been declared to be Top Gun: Maverick. The movie, which debuted on May 27, is a sequel to the 1986 Tony Scott smash Top Gun and stars Tom Cruise as ace pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, who must now use his expertise to teach a new generation of novice pilots how to complete an apparently impossible task. The son of his deceased buddy Goose, with whom he had a poor connection, is one of these pilots, and his name is Rooster Bradshaw (Miles Teller).
The popular movie Top Gun: Maverick won the top prize for the year’s best-reviewed movie, according to the official 2022 Golden Tomato Awards, which were released by the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. In 459 reviews, the movie has a 96 percent rating from critics. The movie tops the list when both of those criteria are taken into consideration, surpassing even the highly regarded Everything Everywhere All At Once and The Banshees of Inisherin, winner of the Golden Globe for Best Picture (Musical or Comedy).
