After the release of her record-breaking album Midnights, Taylor Swift is ready to direct her first feature film. This isn’t the first time the pop star makes a move to Hollywood. She showed off her acting skills in various movies and more recently in Amsterdam, starring Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, and many other A-list artists.
Searchlight Pictures is set to produce the film based on a script that Taylor wrote herself. David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield, presidents of the studio revealed, “Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.”
The new project may be Swift’s first feature film, but the singer has already directed short films among which are last year’s music video for “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” that won the 2022 VMA for Best Direction and was submitted for the 2023 Oscars.
