After waiting eagerly for months, Pharrell Williams finally drops “Down in Atlanta.” The collaborative track with Travis Scott is the epic union of two forces of nature and it gives a preview of the American rapper and songwriter’s upcoming album Phriends, Vol. 1.
Phriends includes many interesting collaborations , among which are K-pop sensation BTS, 21 Savage and Tyler, and Travis Scott. The tracklist is still not confirmed yet, but the forthcoming album has created a lot of buzz with the already released tracks “Cash In Cash Out” and now “Down in Atlanta.”
The two artists have obviously been inspired by the city of Georgia. “Down in Atlanta” is an ode to the magical city, “Watch ’em fly from the sky/ While we line up the wall/ Like confetti, how it falls/ Let ’em leave with it all/ We ain’t never been this high/ The city big, feeling small/ Keep me wake, never off 4-4 when you.”
