Jon Batiste steps down from his role as bandleader after 7 seasons with The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The host announced that Louis Cato is set to replace the talented singer.
Stephen Colbert is thrilled for Batiste and wishes to receive him on the show as a guest; “We’ve been so lucky to have a front row seat to Jon’s incredible talent for the past seven years, and will we miss him here? ‘Yeah!’ But we’re happy for you, Jon, and I can’t wait to have you back on as guest with your next hit record.”
Batiste was the most nominated artist of the 2022 Grammy Awards and won Album of the Year for his album We Are.
