Father John Misty Unveils Winter 2025 Tour and New Single

Father John Misty continues to build anticipation for his upcoming album, Mahashmashana, with the release of a fresh single titled “She Cleans Up.” This track adds to the lineup of recent releases, following “I Guess Time Just Makes Fools of Us All” and “Screamland,” a seven-minute collaboration with guitarist Alan Sparhawk of Low.

The upcoming album, set for release on November 22 through Sub Pop (globally) and Bella Union (in the UK and Europe), marks Father John Misty’s sixth studio effort. Its title is inspired by a Sanskrit term referring to a “great cremation ground,” hinting at deep, reflective themes woven into the project. The album, co-produced with Drew Erickson, also features Jonathan Wilson as executive producer, further elevating expectations for its artistic depth.

In support of the album, Father John Misty has unveiled a tour schedule that spans across North America, beginning on February 12, 2025, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and wrapping up on March 1. Most of the North American shows will feature Destroyer as a special guest, adding to the excitement. Following the North American leg, Misty and his band will head to Europe and the UK for additional performances.

Fans can expect to hear the new tracks live during the 13-show tour, offering a chance to experience the new music in concert. With this latest offering, Father John Misty continues to showcase his unique blend of introspective lyrics and rich instrumentation, setting the stage for what promises to be an impactful tour and album release.
