Chappell Roan is taking a brief detour from her ongoing European tour to bring a string of U.S. pop-up shows to three cities that mean the most to her: New York, Los Angeles, and her hometown of Kansas City. Announced this week, the Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things U.S. dates will run through September and October, offering fans a chance to see the Grammy-winning “Midwest Princess” perform her new song “The Giver” alongside favorites from her acclaimed debut.
While Roan has made it clear that a second album is still a ways off, these shows arrive as a rare stateside opportunity to catch her during a high point in her career. Her presence has only grown since her genre-defying debut won industry accolades and a devoted fanbase. The new track, “The Giver,” hints at an evolution in her sound, while staying rooted in her signature theatricality and emotional openness.
In a statement accompanying the tour announcement, Roan emphasized accessibility and advocacy. She reaffirmed her commitment to affordable ticket pricing, using Fair AXS to cut out scalpers and ensure that actual fans can attend. “Since I started performing, I have always wanted my shows to be a party that everyone is invited to,” she said, adding that $1 from every ticket will go to organizations supporting trans youth — a gesture she says is in direct response to the trans community’s support of her own journey.
The registration period for tickets is open now through July 27 via Fair AXS, with fans selected at random to purchase up to four tickets. The brief run includes four nights at Forest Hills Stadium in New York, two nights at Museum and Memorial Park in Kansas City, and a two-night finale at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
