HBO’s signature series The White Lotus has officially been renewed for a fourth season. The show was renewed in late January, nearly a month before the premiere of the show’s highly anticipated third season.
Created by Mike White, The White Lotus is one of HBO’s highest success stories of the 2020s. The dark comedy, which follows the exploits of guests and employees at the fictional White Lotus resort chain, has garnered critical acclaim and a devoted fan base since debuting in 2021.
Rumours of season 4 are already rife with potential locations and cast members. The anthology format of the show means that every season takes place in a new exotic locale with a new cast. Previous seasons have transported viewers to Hawaii and Sicily, while the upcoming third season will whisk audiences away to Thailand.
Season four production will likely begin in 2026, and the release is feasible in late 2026 or early 2027. HBO and Max chief Casey Bloys revealed that White has already pitched the concepts of the next season, even though the setting remains under wraps.
As for the cast, the anthology format of the show makes it difficult to say who might return. That said, there are some characters who have returned over the seasons. Natasha Rothwell, who played spa manager Belinda in season one, returns in season three, which gives fans hope she might be included in season four as well.
