Phantogram, the well-established alt-indie duo, has remained a key figure in the music scene for almost 15 years. Their latest release, Memory of a Day, marks an exciting new direction for the band, bringing a more rock-centered approach to their signature blend of indie pop and electronic music. Coming off their tour with Kings of Leon, this album represents a fresh creative chapter.
Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter, the minds behind Phantogram, have managed to stay consistent in their artistry while embracing new influences. Memory of a Day fuses early 2010s indie sounds with modern rock instrumentation and dance rhythms. This combination gives the album a nostalgic feel that echoes their earlier work but with a modern twist. Beneath the vibrant production, the album’s emotional tone balances hope and introspection, showcasing a renewed energy that taps into their early creative roots.
In conjunction with the album’s release, Phantogram has announced their highly anticipated Running Through Colors tour, a headlining tour across North America starting in 2025. Kicking off on January 15 in Las Vegas, the tour will make stops in major cities like Anaheim, Phoenix, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles. The tour will wrap up on February 28 at the Hollywood Palladium.
Tickets for the tour go on sale starting October 21, with various presale options before the general sale opens on October 25. Fans will also have the chance to purchase VIP packages, which include premium tickets, exclusive merchandise, and intimate experiences with the band.
The Running Through Colors tour coincides with the release of the album’s latest single, “Attaway,” adding to the excitement for fans eager to experience Phantogram’s new sound live.
