IDLES are set to perform a special hometown show at the O2 Academy Bristol on August 24th to support War Child. The event will feature performances by 86TVs, Zalizo, and a DJ set by Boca 45, with comedian Stewart Lee hosting the evening.
Organized by Crosstown Concerts, Friendly Records, and War Child UK, the concert aims to raise funds for children affected by war. A raffle and limited-edition merchandise will also be available, with all proceeds going to War Child.
Rich Clarke of War Child Records emphasized the vital support this event will provide to vulnerable children in conflict zones. Tickets go on sale at 10 AM BST on August 16th, priced at £50.
IDLES‘ latest album, ‘Tangk’, has been well-received, and the band recently delivered a standout performance at Glastonbury. Frontman Joe Talbot expressed hopes of one day headlining the Pyramid Stage, though he acknowledges they’re not quite there yet. This Bristol show is more than just a concert—it’s a powerful statement of solidarity.
