Metallica played their remarkable track “Inamorata” live for the first time during their concert in Munich, Germany, on May 26.

The song, from their 2023 album “72 Seasons,” was part of a 16-track set that also featured two tour debuts. You can find videos and the full set list below.

“We have never ever played this song live before,” frontman James Hetfield told the audience before performing “Inamorata” – their longest track, lasting 11 minutes and 10 seconds on the album. He added, “In our band, we don’t recognize the word ‘mistake.’ Because there are no mistakes – just unique moments that happen, alright? That’s what we need to tell ourselves. This is one of my favorites, alright? So I’m gonna like it!”

The band also performed “Hit the Lights” from “Kill ‘Em All“, which hasn’t been a regular feature in recent tours, along with their cover of Budgie’s “Breadfan,” a live staple since the late ‘80s but less common in recent years.

Metallica’s M72 World Tour will continue across Europe until July 14 before the band begins another series of North American shows on August 2.
