Coldplay surprised fans by bringing out Sabrina Carpenter to perform ‘Magic’ during their headline set at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend – watch the moment below. Earlier today, Sabrina Carpenter had her own set at the festival in Luton, but that wasn’t her only appearance.

Fans noticed frontman Chris Martin hinting at a special guest when he sang “that’s that me espresso” at the end of Coldplay’s hit ‘Fix You’, referencing Carpenter’s recent hit ‘Espresso’.

Martin then surprised the audience by inviting the pop star on stage to sing ‘Magic’ from their 2014 album ‘Ghost Stories’. After their duet, Martin praised Carpenter, saying, “Your lyrics are amazing and you’re amazing!” Carpenter responded, “I love Coldplay. What is this? Give it up for Coldplay – what the hell?”
