It’s been a turbulent week for Drake in Toronto. His Bridle Path mansion has become a hotspot for unwanted visitors and unwelcome media attention.
Just days after a security guard was reportedly shot outside the residence, a third intruder was apprehended attempting to enter the property. Security forces detained the man and escorted him off the premises.
Adding to the chaos, Drake took to Instagram on Saturday to address a persistent news helicopter hovering over his house. “Let’s talk about those late-night chopper flights,” he wrote to local news outlet CP24. “Trying to get some sleep here. Any time after 3 PM works for me.”
This incident follows a string of security breaches. Earlier this week, a man was arrested for attempting to break into the mansion, and another intruder was hospitalized after a clash with security guards.
While the motives behind these incursions remain unclear, the events coincide with Drake’s ongoing feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. The two have been trading increasingly personal barbs through a series of diss tracks, culminating in five songs released over a three-day period last weekend.
However, authorities haven’t established any connection between the musical battle and the recent incidents at Drake’s home. Additionally, Universal Music Group has denied reports that they intervened to ask Drake and Lamar to end their feud.
