Madi Diaz has enlisted the talents of Kacey Musgraves for a country-pop collaboration on the single “Don’t Do Me Good,” featured on Diaz’s upcoming album, Weird Faith. The emotionally charged track delves into the struggles of dealing with the end of a relationship, complemented by a slowed-down instrumental that captures the intensity of the feelings.
Kacey Musgraves makes her appearance in the second verse, showcasing the seamless blend of the two artists’ vocals.
The accompanying music video follows Diaz on a contemplative drive, featuring stunning shots of the sunset and moments passing through yellow lights in a tunnel.
In a statement, Diaz expressed her intention for the song: “I wanted this song to feel like calling your friend, that moment of needing to commiserate and to have that person say ‘yeah, I’ve been there’ and share that experience with you.”

Diaz also shared her gratitude for Kacey Musgraves’ collaboration: “I am so happy Kacey said ‘yes’ when I asked her to sing on ‘Don’t Do Me Good.’ This song would have been so awfully lonely without her, and I am so grateful I get to hear her voice on this with mine.”
